1927 Bugatti Type 37 replica. This car looks amazing and is a blast to drive around town. Hard to find 21 Model T wheels were recently restored with brand new tires on them. It is a $4000 upgrade including the adapters but this is the only period correct wheel/tire setup for this car and is well worth it.
Just serviced:
Carb rebuild
Valves adjusted(replaced gasket covers)
Set timing
New points
New condenser
New cap and rotor button
New spark plugs
Oil change - new screen and gaskets
New fuel filter
I bought this car last year from a gentleman in Florida who built it with his father in law in the 70s. It is one of the best looking Bugatti kit cars I've seen and it gets lost of waves and compliments everywhere. The title is for the donor car which was a 1979 VW. I'm not sure about the engine size.
Few things that I was planning on doing to it if I were to keep it:Paint the wheels black like the original Type 37Reupholster the seat or dye it a darker colorChange steering wheelChange dash panel and gaugesBigger head lightsNew bonnet straps(or just fix the one on the side that broke. Not very noticeable) Car shakes above 35-40mph, I'm guessing it needs suspension adjustment. Not a good idea to drive a kit car with Model A wheels above 35 mph anyway.Brooklands windscreens. Ordered a set but haven't installed.Spinner style filler cap where the hole is on the tail. Tank is in the front, this would just be a dummy cap.
Not a perfect car but it's hard to find anything at this price that's this much fun to drive and gets this much attention.
