1968 Shelby GT500 KR. Marti report. Largely original (numbers matching, original engine and transmission; original interior and trim; original body panels -- no signs of accidents and/or rust). This car sat in a warehouse for 20+ years and was acquired from consignment. Based on the information available, this car was used regularly in its early years and sat in storage since the 1980s. At some point along the way, the car was fitted with new headers for more HP (a common modification at the time) and repainted black (original color is lime green). The end of the center counsel had been removed when I purchased it (I have replaced with an aftermarket, period-correct console). The car was also fitted with a Hurst shifter along the way.
Since I acquired it, the car has been completely serviced by a local vintage car mechanic to bring it to everyday driver condition. Breaks, break lights, carb, fuel pump, and fuel tank were recently serviced (all records available). I replaced the oil pressure gauge with an aftermarket, period-correct version. New tires (less than 100 miles). Also happy to connect serious buyers with the mechanic, who knows the ins and outs of this car.
This Shelby is ready be used as a bad-ass driver or taken the concours restoration route. Rust free. The car is FAST. Its parked locally in SE Florida and available to be driven.
