1968 Shelby

Shelby (1968)
for sale

Price: US $75,000.00

Description:

This car was purchased by me, in a charity auction on ebay, in 2008. It has been garaged, and been driven less than a dozen times since it was purchased. This car is the original Shelby EXP500 CSS “Black Hornet”. This is the car that was featured in Restoration Hardware with Mr. Shelby. An original copy of one of the Restoration Hardware catalogs, along with a 1:64 diecast model of this car is available upon sale. I also have the title I was given at time of purchase with Mr. Shelby's signature, and I have the certificate of authenticity signed by Mr. Shelby.
Shelby Black Hornet features:
Cobra Jet 428 V8 engine
Holley high volume fuel pump
Cobra Jet manifold exhaust system
Mallory unilight ignition system
Shelby intake manifold
Cobra air cleaner
Power steering/power brakes
Griffith aluminum radiator
New tinted glass
Standard interior without roll bar
Deluxe black interior with console
Original seatbelts
Original '68 Cobra steering wheel
Shelby 10-spoke wheels
Goodyear GTII tires
Sequential taillights
Lucas fog lights
For more information about the car, simply google Shelby Black Hornet EXP500 CSS. When I did this, I found an article that said this car was one of five Shelby rarities. I also found information documenting that Mr. Shelby donated this car from his personal collection to the ebay auction I purchased from, and it had been owned by him since 2003. I also even found a place that made a tribute car to it! This is a truly beautiful car, with a nice history.
