Up for sale is a fantastic 1969 Opel GT
I found this vehicle in a warehouse in California with 41000 original miles. the inside is a 8.5 out of 10!
This car is not for someone who wants to keep busy building a car!!! It's pretty much done to just enjoy.
interior-interior is all original and was red when I got it. I dyed the inside black and it looks great! The entire dash was taken out and gone through. Heater box rebuilt with all new duct and heater box gaskets. All new cables and new aluminum sliding selector switch. All switches cleaned and lubed. New kenwood fm/am/cd player with Jensen 6x9 speakers behind the two seats. All gauges taken apart, cleaned and white faces added to them to make it looks sportier. Dash has new dash cap on it. Glove box hole in front of passenger has a custom fiberglass gauge pod over it with mechanical gauges for oil, temp. and tranny temp. Headliner if perfect shape. Seats also in fantastic condition.
NOW FOR THE BEST PART--IT HAS AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!I built a custom a/c console unit with the evaporator under the false floor behind the two seats. I had to build a custom bracket for the compressor which sets low on the passenger side of the engine. It takes almost no power from the engine. IT WILL FREEZE YOU OUT!!!!!. This car will run down the highway at 75-80mph all day long with the a/c blowing out 39 degree air and the engine water temp run 190 degrees. Heater works great also.
exterior- car was red when I got it. I painted it black 1 year ago. The paint is a one footer. ..dam good but not perfect. if you get 5 inches from it with a magnifying glass with the sun at just the right angle you will see a few sanding scratches in the first primer coat. But again its dam nice.
Both side mirrors are brand new. Original factory wheels. All new tires. New rallie lights in the front grill.
Factory radio antenna filled in. New radio antenna under dash.
Clear lenses added to all four corners. Makes it look outstanding!!!!
engine- 1.9l solid lifters, higher hp engine. Automatic transmission and shifts just fine. Car is not fast but cruises real nice and does have a lot of pep. Engine never rebuilt. I have replaced a lot of parts just as maintance such as water pump, oil pump, fuel pump, oil sending unit, new electronic distributor, one wire gm 100 amp alternater, several relays to handle the ac, radio, starter, etc. fuse box is in orginal condition and is like it was from the factory. Radiator is perfect shape with new fan. Engine bay area is well sorted out. A/C remote condenser sits in the front nose area all by itself and does not add heat to the radiator. Large transmission cooler installed in front of the radiator.
underside mechanical-EVERYTHING WHICH IS RUBBER OR PLASTIC IS NEW!
All bushing, bearings are new. All suspension joints, springpads are new poly bushings. All drive shaft rubber bushings, bumpers are new. All new shocks all around.
All breaks have new pads, calipers, cylinders, rotors, and drums. Master cylinder and booster repoaced with larger 9 booster.
Muffler stock of he shelf muffler which goes into a duel exhaust pipe. No resonator. Car sounds just right. Gas tank clean with new sending unit.
This car is not 100% perfect but as you can see Ive spent thousands of dollars for the fun of building one of these cars. I win every car show I go to and get more looks than any other car.

Reserve under what I have in it. Selling to start another project. I just have to keep busy. I know this is not the best time to sell but just seeing if someone wants one of these right now instead of the spring time. If it don't sell i'll put it up again in 2 months.
