1969 Triumph TR-6

Triumph TR-6 (1969)
for sale

Price: US $12,000.00

Description:

A great driving Triumph TR6.
You can drive it home! I am second owner. A woman was the original owner and kept it garaged and serviced regularly. I have continued on with that tradition, driving it only on clear sunny days. I have never had the top up. I did find a small L shaped tear in a relatively new convertible top with a very clear rear window. It could be mended. This car is solid and rust free. I have always kept it in a heated garage as well.
All new interior, new dashboard, new dash top, new glove box liner, dealer option Les Leston wooden steering wheel and mounting hub like new, freshly re-plated front bumper, new grill, new tr6 grill badge, new windshield by previous owner, factory tonneau cover, original seats with fold down headrests only supplied to the 1969 model. The original engine is the 1969 model, the only year of the high compression, higher HP engine. I also a spare engine with gearbox, carbs, distributor, starter motor with under 50, 000 miles goes with the car.
The factory steel hardtop was just finished full restoration last year by a shop in Rhode Island. All new seals, headliner, stripped refinished and painted in a 2 stage Royal blue finish. The paint is a re-spray a few years ago, but still shows well. The wire wheels are original, factory option as well, with new Cooper radial tires.

“I am selling my 69 TR6, royal blue with shadow blue interior. I am the second owner. It is a great driving car. The interior is new. It has the dealer option Les Leston wood steering wheel and hub assembly. The front bumper was rechromed. It runs very strong and solid, accelerates nicely with a beautiful exhaust note. I have a factory steel hardtop for it, jus fully restored last year with new headliner, seals and the steel shell all stripped, refinished and painted in a 2 stage royal blue finish.I am selling my car to make room in my garage. This spring and summer I have purchased and Austin Healey 3000 and a 1956 Jaguar XK140SE Roadster. Someone is going to own a great driving, rust free, everything works early TR6. The 1969 TR6 is the only year with the high compression engine and the fold down headrests. I also have an extra engine with gearbox. It has all the ancillaries on the engine- carbs, starter, distributor, and is a good running engine, under 50,000 miles, as a spare.”
