This p1800es is in complete clean mechanical shape and is a solid runner/driver. I bought her with the intention of a complete restoration but too many projects and not enough time force the sale. She runs and drives well and would make a great around town car as is. The body has miscellaneous small bits of rust but the floorboards and undercarriage are rust free. This car has a clean and open title. I have not put this car in my name but I have the title, a bill of sale to me from the titled owner and will provide a bill of sale from me to the new buyer. She's a great, potentially fantastic car.
Great:
Reliable runner, engine pulls nicely throughout rpm range.
4sp manual with overdriveSuspension feels solid, no clunks.
Braking system works as intended, no vibration or pulsing under hard braking..
Aftermarket IPD sway bars helps decrease cornering lean and adds to stability of car.
All exterior stainless and chrome trim intact, nothing missing.
Despite a few spots of surface rust on body the under carriage and floorboards are clean and rust free.
There are also 3 boxes of spare parts included with the car.
Not great:
Car had been re-sprayed white (originally copper) and there are various small spots on the body and bumpers with surface rust. Paint is not great but I think would look better brought back to original copper.
Needs new speedometer cable.
A few of the gauges are not hooked up. All are there, just a few of them need to be wired in.
Tires are very old with cracked side walls, wouldn't recommend driving on them far. There are 2 extra wheels with hubcaps.
She has a great deal of potential and these models are only going up as they grow more and more scarce. She's a great base for a full restoration and could be magnificent. Or, just use her as is... a sturdy, beautiful runner. I'd love to see her go to a good home.
