1981 Delorean. October build car. Car needs total restoration but is an excellent candidate. I bought it to do it and started but we have taken on other paying projects so mine will not get any attention. This is the most desirable of Deloreans being an Oct 81 car. It is an automatic with gray interior. The carpet was removed because it smelled terrible. The passenger door had a broken torsion bar because of a separated roof box. I bought a torsion bar and installed it as well as adjusted it for proper tension. The roof box was then bolted down and sealed to prevent future damage. That's a job that saves a few thousand dollars the next owner. Now the doors work great and will for a long time to come. The frame is solid. The plastics on the outside of the car are excellent. I installed new struts so all of the outside compartments operate like they should. The motor turns freely by hand. There are some pieces not attached to the car but just about everything is there. There are two minor motor components that aren't with the car. The warm up regulator and the frequency valve. They are not hard to get though. Driver toll booth window is off track. Rear louvre has a crack. This is a very clean, solid original car and is ready for someone to make their dream. I have a lot of pictures so just ask and I will send them.
