I purchased the DeLorean in 1998 at auction. At that time it had 21, 000 miles. In 2008 with 22, 247 miles I had a major restoration completed including a major service kit, brake overhaul, muffler, oil pressure switch, alternator, hose kit, upholstery repair, antenna, radio, roof seal, window motors, door lock module and a detail. In 2014 with 24, 034 miles I had an oil sender upgrade, fuel pump upgrade, fuel system overhaul, window switch solenoids, door lock upgrade, headlight switch, rebuilt ignition switch, steering column lock assembly, battery and steering column bushing completed. In 2016 with 24, 555 miles I had new mirrors and brakes installed. The DeLorean has always been stored in a garage with only occasional driving. I bought it for my son who now needs to sell it to help with a down payment on a house.
