A 3.7-liter Duratec V6 engine powers the Mustang V6. The engine generates 305 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque while posting class-leading fuel economy numbers of 19/31 mpg when paired with an available 6-speed automatic transmission. When mated with a 6-speed manual transmission, which comes as standard equipment, the engine still manages a decent 19/29 mpg. The new steering system offers Standard, Sport and Comfort settings. Safety features include 4-wheel antilock brakes, traction and stability control, standard dual front side-mounted airbags and a post-collision safety system. Outside, the Mustang V6 displays such features as halogen headlights, three-bar LED taillights, power side mirrors with integrated blind spot mirrors, dual exhaust pipes and 17-inch painted aluminum wheels.
