I purchased 2 SMARTS, ONE WAS TOTALED, THIS ONE HAS MEVER BEEN WRECKED. I'M DEALING WITH INSURANCE COMPANY NOW, AS THIS CAR IS MISTAKENLY COMING UP AS TOTALED, BASICALLY DUE TO LIBERTY MUTUALS INCOMPETENCE! CLEAN TEXAS BLUE TITLE SHOWN IN PICTURES. I BOUGHT this new at PARK PLACE MERCEDES, DALLAS, December 26th, 2012. It's always been a commuter car for gas savings. Never in a wreck, but did have two claims due to construction sinkhole, and all work was done by the dealer. I have had only the dealer do oil changes every 10, 000 miles with synthetic Mercedes oil, as well as the 40, 000 mile major service. They did replace a shroud and fan motor recently, as these were known defective parts on these cars. All it did was made the a/c blow hot. Within the past 6 weeks, in preparation for selling the car, I've had both my personal mechanic, of whom installed all four wheels with upgraded pads, as well as the dealer, do extensive service checks for any defects. Both give it a major thumbs up. I would gave purchased another SMART, but decided on a tech package $36, 000 Sonata Hybrid. There's nothing wrong with this car other than the little piece of plastic that some idiot hit and ran the car in Lowe's parking lot. It's never been an issue for us, and my mechanic popped out the dimple.I would do a nationwide trip today in this car. The only thing it will need is 2 new tires in about 5, 000 miles. They are factory originals. Tires, maintenance, and filling up 8.8 gallons, is very cheap on this car. It just needs a new owner who wants a well cared for car! I have 8 cars, mostly collectors, and have thought about keeping this car, but I'm out of parking space, and don't want to carry the insurance.This car is anhydramatic, which means you can drive it as an automatic, but also as a clutchless tap shift manual.
