1977 AMC GREMLIN X
Up for sale is a very nice Gremlin X, I do want to start with the negative of the car. It has a dent/scratch on the rear wheel well as you an see from the pic. While backing out of a garage the woman rubbed it on something, it looks much worse than it is and would be very easy to fix. Other than that there is some clear coat peeling on the back hatch. I have tried my best to take pictures of any imperfections the car has which is very few!
The car runs amazing! Most of the paint looks great, interior looks very nice and needs nothing. Tires are new, it has ac which is working but doesn't seem to get very cold. It has disk brakes on the front. Power steering. Included with the car are years and years of records showing all repairs. Odometer shows 16k im going to assume it has rolled over.
I think you would find it very hard to find another Gremlin X in this condition. It has 0 rust. The car has always been stored in a garage and it shows. I have looked at several Gremlins and they all have the typical rust issues. NOT THIS ONE. I searched high and low and can not find any at all.
It is set up with a hand throttle and brake since the previous owner was handicap. It would be easy to remove but I wanted to leave it incase new owner found it helpful.
I feel my asking price is very fair but as always feel free to make an offer.

On Jun-14-15 at 09:00:38 PDT, seller added the following information:I just added up the receipts for work that has been done to this car in the last little bit. The previous owner had EVERYTHING replaced or rebuilt. Keep in mind this is just mechanical work. Brakes, radiator, engine, ect. The total is 5861.19!!!! All new brakes, engine rebuilt, transmission, power steering pump, seal kit, all oils replaced, wheel seals, differential pinion and carrier bearing, axle bearings, front wheel bearings, axle bearings and seals, all hoses, water pump, distributor cap and rotor, ignition module, R and R cyl. Head. timing cover, exh. manifolds, carb. belts, tuneup, strut arms bushings. I just wanted to show how amazingly well this car has been cared for. It was brought to my attention in an email that didn't mention some interior flaws. I like to mention as much as I can so here are a few things worth mentioning about the interior:
- The door handle at the interior of the driver doors vinyl is cracked and peeling away from the handle ( Pictured above )- The steering wheel has some sort of dent / divots on the left hand side of the wheel i believe it was from the previous hand controls that were installed before the current ones , and there is some weather cracking here and there ( pictured below ) - The interior dome light on the headliner is missing its cover ( pictured above ) - There are a few areas where the carpet has rubbed very low ( pictured below )- there is an area that has been covered with duct tape , maybe a 2 inch x 3 inch patch on the back seat behind the passenger and next to it looks as if there is a circular patch to the left of it also behind the passenger seat.
