Such customers believe that the dealer's personnel being on their ways home won't be able to negotiate aggressively after a hard working day. This suggestion is totally wrong, I should tell you.
In most cases, you'll get nothing but total rudeness; in fact, they won't think much and tell you anything to send you out as soon as possible. In other cases that'll be quite an opportunity to pounce upon you within all the time left. If you are still there after closing time, they'll lock up the dealership and it will be not only difficult to leave this dealership, but they will do their best to make you buy a car. Do you think you may be ready for haggling with them until midnight and later? Think twice because they will be. You've made them stay, so they put themselves out to make you pay for it.
So, now you can see that if you've once thought that going to a dealership right before closing is a smart idea, you may be 99% wrong. As for me, I'd never recommend you use such a strategy.
