I have a 99 Audi A4 Quattro with manual transmission and 195000 miles. I put a lot of money to this car in last few years because I was planning to keep it for a while but I don't need the extra vehicle anymore. The whole suspension was replaced last year: Shocks, springs, a complete kit from Meyle HD with sway bar links, control arms, bushings, and every suspension part possible for the front and rear. While the suspension components were out, I put in new wheel bearings, brake rotors and pads front and rear. The car is sitting on Audi wheels from the next generation A4, and I have a matching spare wheel and tire. The rims are wrapped with 225 45 R17 Nokian WRG3 tires that have around 5000 miles. This tires are almost $180 a piece being TRUE all season tires. Last year, I replaced the timing belt with original Audi components along with the thermostat, water pump, tensioners, serpentine belt, every single cooling hose, auxiliary fan, fan clutch, blade, etc. In order to get to the timing belt a lot of parts have to be removed, and replacing hoses and components that may still in working condition is good practice while other things are out. The car does not have a single leak, valve cover gaskets were replaced when I got it almost five years ago. New battery, hid lights, mp3 pioneer radio, everything works, the interior is like new, trunk and rear seat look like they were never used. Synthetic oil every 4k with Mann filters. If you know about Audis, you probably know that the only bulletproof engine made by them is the 2.8 v6. This is the only engine that will pass 350k miles with minimal maintenance. The car does not have a spot of rust. You may be able to find a vehicle like this for half the price, but you will spend more money trying to fix whatever hasn't been done or hasn't been fixed the right way.
