This is a Fairfax Blue #126, 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, Body #544. The car has the same Medium Blue Fabric/White Leather Interior (#2382) that Mike Rizzuto's, (Mastermind, Inc.--Brougham Guru), Barn Find Lake Placid/Fairfax Blue car has, that he indicated was very rare and desirable. Rizzuto stated that there were only 34 of these Fairfax Blue cars built out of the total 704 '57 & '58 cars made. Even fewer were made with the Medium Blue/White Fabric & Leather Interiors. Mike says that rare color combinations are very important and add significantly to the car's value! According to the Brougham Data Base my car was owned by Allan W. Dowling in the late 1970's. He was president of the Brougham Owners Association on Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles in the 1990's. I believe our Brougham was an original California car. Our car is numbers matching and 95% complete, but needs a Full Restoration--I'm told it has not been running since 1983. The car was stored inside in a heated Garage in Indiana for over 30 years. Most of the missing parts (chrome skirts, trim, etc.) are in the Trunk. The floors are solid with the usual surface rust underneath. There is some rust in the (passenger side) outer lower rocker panel. The glass is good original and the stainless top and front windshield are perfect. The car is missing 2 Hubcaps and 3 Medallions. Air suspension is still on the car but not working. This is a rare and very valuable Cadillac to restore. Sold as is with no warranties or other representations. Phil (760) 723-6516.
