This is a 1967 International Loadstar 1600 that would make an excellent restoration piece. The truck originally served as a firetruck in Gunter, Texas back in the 70's and 80's. I don't know exactly how long it's been out of commission, but the tag is from '86. I originally purchased it with the intention of restoring it myself about 3 years ago, but with the years dragging by and the bank account not looking any better I figure I better let it go to a better home.
The truck is equipped with a modified front bumper to accommodate a winch, as well as a direct-drive PTO that was used to run the winch and a water pump. There is no significant rust damage to the cab, and the body is straight. Just a lot of surface rust.The engine is a V-8 gasoline powered V-345. There is no carburetor or alternator, and I have never tried to start the engine, however it does turn. The oil is still very clean and I have no reason to believe this motor wouldn't run. According to the original owner the motor was restored about 1, 500 miles before I purchased it but I have no way to verify that. 24, 175 actual miles.
Frame measurements are as follows.From cab to end of frame: 93 or 7' 9Cab to center of rear axle: 60Outside frame width: 34Inside frame width: 28Frame rail width: 3Tires are 18 rim by 19.5 wide.
