This is a chance to own a piece of car history, this is 1 of only 26, 000 made. The Gray-Dort is a very rare car considered top quality vehicles, were the top sellers with a sticker price of $680 in 1921. The Dort Motor Car Comp. was located in Flint, Michigan in the early 1900, they used to built the bodies for the Ford Model A and Model T before creating their own car company. Their main office was in Canada where the original family had been in business since 1855.
This particular car has been with the same family for over 50 years, it has not been seen for must of that time. The owner at the time, started a restoration years ago but his health and his age stopped the progress a few years back. I can tell you that the engine turns by hand and all the parts you need to complete the process are there. There is a 1970 picture of the car from when it was being placed in storage, that was the last time it was outside until today to take pictures. There is also original documentation including owners manual and a letter from the company dated 1923.
I repaired the flat tire missing on the last picture (passenger front) to be able to move the car outside. The tires are believe to be originals and should be replaced before driven. The leather seats and the top need to be redone. I don't have the time nor the space to keep it and I think she has been locked up long enough. Email me any questions you might have.
