Description:

On June 6, 1924 Maxwell-Chalmers became the Chrysler Corporation. The last of the Maxwell cars were sold off, then the name was quietly discontinued in favor of a new car called the Chrysler. This 1924 Maxwell Club Sedan is one of the last Maxwell’s produced before they changed over to Chrysler. These are very rare, seldom seen cars that are not frequently seen for sale. This body of this car is all steel as well as the fenders and in very nice, repainted condition with absolutely no rust anywhere on the vehicle.
The paint is two years old and still in excellent overall condition with no major imperfections to be found and the black convertible cloth roof is new. We have gone around the car with a magnet and found no major spots of filler. This is a VERY solid body. Both front and rear steel bumpers are excellent with no damage to either.
The interior has had all new soft vinyl applied to the seats, headliner and door panels. All of which are new condition and show no wear. The wood wheel does show some wear and minor cracking but is very solid overall. The wood floors have been refinished but are older. They show no rot and are very solid. There has been an aftermarket switch installed for the headlights as well as an electric fuel pump. The headlights are in good working order.
The 4 cylinder runs good and starts up with little effort. The electric fuel pump makes starting this car a lot easier. The 3 speed transmission operates fine, the rpm’s just have to be lowered when going into gear as with a lot of these early 20’s cars. The steel racing disc wheels are in very good condition and are wrapped with 4.75/5.00 – 20 tires that have cracking and will need replacing soon. The underside of the car is excellent and has also undergone a full restoration.
This is a fantastic, rarely seen pre war car that is sure to impress everyone at the next parade or car show. The current mileage shows 24, 000 and the VIN number is . The car is being sold on a mileage exempt FLORIDA title.
I can fully arrange expeditious and inexpensive shipping anywhere in the United States.
