One of a kind 1925 Mercer Raceabout Recreation, this is the first American Sports Car, named Mercer because the company was founded in Mercer County, Trenton - New Jersey, year 1909. This Vehicle was built by a very passionate
engineer in Hawthorne - California, the building process took almost 7 years and it was completed in 2012, so, many years of meticulous work by a Gentleman that was in love with Antique Race Cars. An original Mercer Raceabout will sell for a few $ millions these days, highly collectible automobiles and almost impossible to find. I had a few replicas before but let me tell you this, I have never had a toy as fast as this Mercer Raceabout Recreation, you'll be impressed by how well this vehicle is built and how fast can rich high speed . .. seat belt fastened will be recommended at all times !!! Super Performance and very good fabricated vehicle based on a 1925 Mercer Raceabout. Easy to drive every weekend or to attend to any local parade, this is the benefit of having modern drive train in an Antique Vehicle. Car was inspected by CA DMV Officers, Titled in 2012 and currently Registered in California. A 1960 Chevrolet Pickup was used as donor car, very solid frame, Very powerful Rebuilt Straight 6 Cylinder Chevy engine, Rebuilt Turbo 350 Chevy automatic transmission, Ford model T radiator, body is all metal, wire wheels & and White Wall Tires, Wood Dash, Wood Steering Wheel - very easy to steer, Brass looking Classic Gauges, Super Coll radiator cap Mascot, Very loud Ooga Horn, like new interior, Wind Deflectors, Left & Right tail lights, Underneath the car is new, no leaks, no rust, Fantastic condition. Car has only 105 miles since built, it was always garaged, never seen any rain or other weather conditions, just went to a few Antique car shows in Southern California. Vehicle was painted in 2011, Driver quality condition paint, very minor flaws are present, the blue color is still shiny & beautiful. The Mercer Recreation comes with a lot of Documentation, Receipts, Building process photos and some Literature, please see the last pictures in the listing. This is one of a kind vehicle, Impossible to find another one, metal body construction NOT a fiberglass kit car !!!
