This is a 1930 Ford Model A, 2-Door Coupe, with a Rumble Seat in the back. I bought this car in 1996 after it had been sitting in an underground garage for many years. For the first four years I worked with a professional automobile restoration person in his shop to take the car completely apart and strip each piece of the body, fix any imperfections and then paint each individual piece prior to putting the car back together again. This included new chrome as well.
The Pin Striping is hand painted on the car after assembly. I also put in an original rebuilt/restored Model A engine in the car. I also converted the electrical system from a generator to an alternator. The car is a California Historical Vehicle (license plate 7301).
Along the way I have taken very good care of the car, buying whatever it has needed. I have driven the car regularly, and for several years it was my only car driven almost everyday. I know the car well after 20 years and have enjoyed the pleasure and looks I get when I drive it. I have always kept the car garaged. Now, as sad as it is, it is time to move on and find the next owner to care for this beautiful antique vehicle.
I looked up the pricing of my car in the NADAguides Classic Car Pricing (National Appraisal Guides is a strategic partner with J.D. Power and Associates). They show the high retail price for this car, reflecting its excellent condition for this car to be $32, 235. I am willing to sell the car for less.
