Franklins were manufactured in Syracuse, New York from 1902 until 1934. This car was sold new in London, England and was thus equipped with right-hand drive steering. It is believed that its first owner retained a chauffeur and it remained in England in his care until it was repatriated to the USA in the 1950's. The car was restored in the 1970's. In 1977 it was AACA judged and awarded a First Prize. All Franklins were equipped with air-cooled engines. In 1930 the straight-6 engines underwent a major redesign that allowed a significant increase in horsepower, so this car is no slouch on the road. The car has been well maintained since its restoration however the 40-year-old paint, 2-tone maroon with black fenders, is showing its age, but it is still a respectable old car. Odometer mileage unknown. Shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser.
