Nash bought out Lafayette Motors and reintroduced the Lafayette name in 1934 as a lower priced car to the Nash lineup. The Lafayette was marketed as a new kind of low-priced car. Targeting former small car buyers into a larger, more appealing better engineered car that costs just a little more than the lowest priced cars on the market. The black-on-black combo on this Nash really pops! Original gauges have all been reconditioned. New power black vinyl bucket seats are an additional upgrade. The Nash cars gave you wider seats with more leg and head room. They did the same with the upgraded seats. Beautiful Nash LaFayette 400 instrument panel in embellished chrome shows off the original gauges. Speedometer has large figures on a brushed silver dial. Full power windows, with a custom-made center console with the power window switches. Tilt column with a Grant leather wrapped steering wheel. Lokar shifter, custom Billet AC vents, and high loop carpet with matching floor mats. This one also features custom door panels. Nash built cars give you the protection of the world's first completely seamless one-piece all metal body with metal sides, top, floor, and girder-metal frame. The consignor removed the original outer door handles and added remote poppers. Custom rounded side steps were added for easy access. Original color matched headlights, Nash front hood emblem has been removed to allow full clearance on both hood risers. Original LaFayette 400 grille (shines bright, shows age of 85 years). Custom sport mirrors were added as well. Budnik wheels with 225x55R17 on the front and 255x55R18 on the rear with Yokohama tires. Slotted and drilled Wilwood rotors with polished Wilwood calipers.
