ASK THE MAN WHO OWNS ONE!
Joan is a pleasure to drive and own. (Joan, as in Joan Crawford, is my 1940 Model 110 Packard's' name) And true to her namesake, Joan turns heads to stare, receives long looks, and catches many wolf whistles as she passes on by heading down the road. Cruising and touring, are a couple of her specialties. Joan runs, drives, stops, has turn signals, honks, has a backup light, and turns corners with no problems. When I take the grand kids for ice cream, she always draws a crowd of admirers. What kind of car is she ?. and Love the color ! are the most mentioned comments. At car shows. .. ah, well what can I say!
Joan runs well, and she looks very good (and to even make it all better) Joan is very RARE!
First of all, most of the younger people don't even know what a Packard is nor the story behind Packard and the mark Packard made on automobile history. And secondly, when was the last time you saw a two door Packard? Joan is the Packard company's answers to Ford, Dodge, Chevrolet's' family sedan slot on the market. Made smaller and lighter the 110 Model (which is what Joan is) was the answer to family automobile needs. Packard had always been a BIG car, a favorite of the wealthy, and had earned a BIG name as America's finest mass produced automobile. But, during the mid 1930's ALL of the automobile manufactures were feeling the pinch of the Great Depression. For Packard something had to be done to increase sales. They decided to produce a smaller, more economical car that the middle class could own and operate. The Packard 6 cylinder models were to be the answer. Most of the model 110 were four door models but the two door models were also available. And so, the Packard family sedan was born.
Why buy a Ford or Chevrolet family sedan when you can own a Packard?

Joan is a survivor 1940 Model 110 family sedan. She is one of the VERY FEW that remain around today !The title for Joan is in process ( didn't have that as one of their choices{?})I don't intend to give her away so please no low-ballers. If you don't intend to buy her if you win the auction, please do not bid. I don't want to hear again that another member of your family bid on Joan and you knew nothing about it. Please if you bid be prepared to stand behind you bid. And please don't use the wrong amount excuse and withdraw you bid at the last moment.
C.M.A. Joan is purchased as is and where is. No coupons or returns or refunds honored..
