BODY. .Steel 1940 Willys coupe body with vintage fiberglass fenders, hood, trunk lid and doors (like a real Willys gasser). Steel floor , aluminum firewall.
CHASSIS. .1937 Willys, boxed front with custom subframe through the middle. Willys leaf springs front and rear. 57 Olds' rear end with 4.56 gears, spool and 35 spline axles. 56 long ladder bars, Willys front axle, Willwood/JFZ front brakes, Corvair steering box.
ENGINE/TRANS. .355ci Chevy, 4 bolt mains, forged crank, C&A aluminum rods, forged flat top pistons. Balanced. Studded block. Crane 290A cam, solid lifters. Ported power pac heads with .202 intakes. Screw in studs, roller rockers etc. Edelbrock Torker intake, Holley 750. Mallory ignition. Lakewood scattershield, Centerforce steel flywheel, 11 pressure plate and clutch. Super T10 4speed (new synchros and bearings), Hurst competition plus shifter, line loc.
MISC. .6pt roll bar, Moon gas pedal, Ansen clutch/brake pedals, vintage SW greenline gauges, Sun tach, trunk mounted battery and 7 gallon Moon gas tank. Eelco tank up front, glass windshield, lexan side and rear windows, Ballast bumper, original black/yellow CA plates, rev limiter, vintage fenderwell headers, 2 1/2 exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. 15x8 Cragars with 29.5x9 slicks, 15x3 1/2 slot mags with 5.00 BF Goodrich front tires.
Drives straight, stops straight, doesn't overheat, doesn't load up, runs on pump gas. With more horsepower it could be run in a vintage gasser class. This is not a plush show car. It's a stripped-down driver and a good investment. Owning this car will make you very happy!
