The 1941 Mercury, Pre War Car, has been nicely restored in Resto-Mod style with modern appointments. It is equipped with IFS front suspension, Mustang II style, 4 wheel disc brakes, Triangulated 4 Link rear suspension, 4 corner coil over shocks, Salt Flat racer wheels, and Michelin Pilot tires. A complete Vintage Air system was installed for interior comfort. The engine is a Ram Jet 350 GM Crate engine and couples to a TH 700 R 4 transmission to power the 9 inch ford differential. The Exhaust Headers are Ceramic Coated and are connected to 2-1/2in. Aluminized Exhaust tubing and has twin Stainless Steel 50 Series Flowmaster mufflers to tune and quiet the 300 plus HP. The door handles are original and non-functional from outside as the front doors have door poppers as well as the trunk. the doors and full vehicle are powered by a remote control and can power the entire car up or down with the touch of a button. The Resto. was started in Phoenix Az. and then moved to Sierra Vista Az. to be completed in 2002. The top is custom made with a zipper down back window for flow and has electro-hydraulic lift for the convertible top. The seating is Restored and Custom Fit Cadillac Eldorado bucket seats front and rear while maintaining front seat electric controls. The instruments are Classic Instruments including a Tachometer and mounted in a custom Wood panel. It is also equipped with the Eldo transmission control and fitted into a custom made center console which also contains the radio and the A/C controls. The hood release is also fitted with a remote cable inside vehicle. Tilt steering column and dash mounted Ignition Switch finish off the interior. After sitting for 1.5 years we have had the Fuel pump and filter replaced and the fuel injectors hand flushed. The only thing this car needs is a car show to go to and someone to drive it there, or maybe a date night for a nice ride to dinner.
