This 51 mercury comes from central calif which is a very dry climate area. It is a calif. car and the original color is black. it comes with very desirable and rare accessories, original lipped fender skirts and authentic left and right Appellton spotlights with inner and outer brackets. The car is very solid and very straight with no damage to body or frame, floors are very solid and do not require replacing, rear quarters, lower front fenders show no cancer as well as rocker panels, also included is rear windshield from a 50 mercury, which was done to replace original, looks much better and is more Barris style. .doors with aligned and doors close perfectly, trunk floor is solid , no cancer, also rear side panels were removed cleaned and welded back on to make body look one piece, perfect panels. Merc comes with 2 grills, your choice to use, one is the floating bar which back then was made from the front bumper guards, cut and welded to make the grill bar, the other is the famous 53 Desoto grill which is in great shape, paid 700 for it, installed lowering front springs, hood was frenched and door handles removed, comes with 5 1957 mint Cadillac hubcaps along with 2 deep Cadillac wheels to accept deep dish hubcaps , dash is in excellent condition with no pitting and very nice original chrome, comes with original front and rear seats, seats were reupholstered in black and white, merc comes with smooth 9 inch ford rear end that fits perfect . The rear bezels were professionally chromed and original lens were polished and look as good as new, merc comes with a fresh rebuilt overdrive tranny to accept a big block ford Cleveland engine which it doesn't come with, now Id rather have cash would entertain cash and trade or trade for a 55 2dr chevy , 67 nova or split window single cab vw of equal value more info 9one5 5four5two70nine
