Vehicle Description: This 1951 Mercury Sport Sedan is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 51 Mercury was the end of an era for the Mercury Eight series of vehicles. The last generation to share the name sake the 48-51 was the first post war car for the company and was a success to say the least. There curvaceous lines are one of the most iconic cars to come out of Detroit. This extremely clean well restored example is one of the nicest back to original Mercs I have seen. All the chrome was replaced with new from S&S and is truly the statement piece of the car. The black paint is fresh and slick leaving no room for error on the body work side of things. Open the door and the two-tone interior is just as nice as the rest of the car. With black accents and dark gray body, it really gives the car a factory look. The dash is detailed with the chrome breaking up the black dash. Although you would never know by looking the radio has been adapted over to take a MP3 player or cellphone and run it through the stereo, the first I have seen. Under the hood its back to the 50’s technology with the flathead being believed to be original to the car. A fresh clutch and transmission backs the 255 CID flathead with the three on the tree shift pattern guaranteeing a blast down memory lane every time you throw lever up into the next gear. - Payment methods: ACH, wire transfer, cashier's check, credit card(3% fee), personal check(10 business days to clear), and of course- cash. PayPal not accepted.
- Signed purchase contracts, cleared payment in full, and a copy of your driver's license will be needed before the vehicle is released.
