Fully restored Champion DELUXE finished in (my favorite) RIO GREEN. This vehicle was restored approximately 2 years prior to me being the newest caretaker. Listed below are the recent repairs and the known issues.
Recent repairs ( Three weeks ago )
Installed 4 BRAND NEW bias ply WW tires from Coker Tires (Receipts available $900 ++)
Installed 4 BRAND NEW hubcaps from Studebaker International (Receipt available $400 ++)
Installed BRAND NEW 6 Volt battery from Batteries Plus (Receipt available $100 ++)
Known flaws
Rear package tray, you might want to replace. Damage cause by weak seal on top of back glass. (I was washing and didn't notice til the next day and you can see result in pic)
Hardly noticeable but appears paint prep wasn't so good on top of right front of hood (see pic)
Hand brake does not engage properly
Other facts
This is a Deluxe model but when restored prior owner decided to make it a radio delete, thus the chrome strips where added to give it a complete clean look
This is a turn-key driver. I have been a collector of Studebaker's for years because of the uniqueness and the attention they draw, particularly the Bullet Nose 1950 and 51 models. Now my addiction of classics (not just Studebaker) has grown my collection to big, therefore its time to trim down so they can all be enjoyed more often by others.
