Only about 1, 700 Mark II Competition models were ever produced from 1950 to 1953. This is the Mark II Competition model with the XPAG more highly tuned engine using 8.1:1 compression ratio giving 57bhp at 5, 500 rpm. This TD MK II also features twin fuel pumps, additional Andrex dampers, and a higher ratio rear axle. The engine is the original Numbers matching #13826 running strong.
This Mark ll was brought to California in the late 60's by the original owner. A frame-up restoration was completed circa 1969 and it was done in its original pale yellow paint and camell-color leather interior. After restoration, this Competition Roadster was used as a Sunday driver for many years, then it semi retired and it was only driven a few times a year. Garage kept, properly maintained and winterized, never seen rain or snow.
Odometer reads 7, 701 believed to be original miles! Despite a few character marks throughout, that handsomely accentuate its journey, this MKll drives and shows incredibly well and it is ready for its next chapter…
