This is a Custom 53 Studebaker that was originally built by a well crafted gentlemen out of Richmond Virginia, very talented builder and the car shows it. This was featured in April 2012 in Rod & Custom under readers rods. Here is what I know, started out with parts from a Studebaker Champion and built a custom chassis out of 2x3 tubing. This is very close to a race car chassis . This is registered as a Studebaker Convertible but built more like a Roadster Pickup. The back of it looks like he used a Tailgate from a Studebaker as it has the stamping. The doors do not open like a Model T . This is unique vehicle and you won't find another one. I am 6'2 and a little tall for driving it.1958 SBC 283 bored out to a 301Edlebrock Carb & Edlebrock Scorpion IntakeWilwood Disc Brakes All Four CornersCoilovers All Four CornersWide Five Hubs & WheelsFrankland Quick Change RearMickey Thompson TiresWoodward Rack & PinionAluminum Radiator & Electric FanPlease have your finances in order before bidding Any questions please let me know..
