1954 Kaiser Manhattan with a very unique and documented history. The car was given to Barbara Kaiser by her husband Henry J Kaiser Jr as an anniversary gift in 1955. The car was specially built for Mr.s Kaiser per Henry J Kaiser Jr's specifications. It was sent KW in 1955 and specially trimmed and painted in her favorite colors.
The car has spent all of it's life in Oakland Calif up until her death in 2013. Barbara Kaiser had refused to sell the car over the years as she had such fond memories of the car and her late husband Henry J Kaiser Jr. who passed away in 1961 at the age of 44. The car was stored and serviced at Val Strough Chevrolet up until 2013. It was started every few months and driven down the parking structure and back up in order to have it ready for Mr.s Kaiser should she want to take it out.
It runs and drives well with just under 33, 000 original miles. Absolutely no rust. While it has been repainted once the interior is all original as is the chrome trim. Has power steering and brakes along with the McCulloch supercharger. This is not a restored car so it does have imperfections and shows it's age but it is an incredible survivor with a unique history so if your thinking about a 1954-55 Kaiser this is one well worth thinking about as it is a stunning looking car. Personally I would leave the car as is even with it's flaws rather than try to make it perfect but should you desire to make it perfect this will be an easy candidate.
