Rare find of a pristine rust free Oregon 1955 Desoto Firedome.
An Oregon car so rust is not an issue as Oregon does not use salt on its roads.
Four door sedan with recent rebuild of 291 CID hemi V 8 engine, 185 HP @ 4400 rpm, valves inclined lateral overhead, 1.84 exhaust, 1.50 intake, bore and stroke 3.720 and 3.344, compression ratio 7.5 to 1, torque 245 ft lb at 2800 rpm., regular unleaded gas, valves are case hardened for unleaded fuel. Overhaul of Powerflite automatic transmission , all mechanicals updated, new exhaust, seat belts, Powerflite automatic transmission with dash shift, parking brake is a drum type applied to drive shaft, new gas tank, all new gray cloth interior and new black plush carpet, original literature. Chrome and metal trim is in amazing condition, ready to drive anywhere! Truly a time capsule in amazing condition for its age. The 291 hemi engine is highly sought after for its reliability!
A lot of money has been spent on the restoration but rarely get it all back so it is a good opportunity to own a ready to go classic collectible Desoto.
