815-323-6536 ✕ Very detailed show quality car. Sleak for a 1955!
Exterior Color: Sheridan Green And Saginaw Green Interior Color: Green Body Type: Coupe Transmission: 3 Speed w/ Overdrive Engine: 259 V8 4 BARREL Title Condition: Clear Vehicle Description This car is in outstanding restored condition. From the underside, to the inside and topside this car is show quality. It's really a cool car. Look at the low slung sporty design and then remember this is a 1955! This one has the Bearcat V-8 with 4 barrel carb, dual exhaust and a manual 3-speed with overdrive. A real hot rod in it's day. It is a pleasure to look at and fun to drive.
EXTERIOR: Super slick looking car. .Has low, sleek body with tons of chrome and stainless trim. The hubcaps look like something off a salt flat racer. The body is excellent, straight with no issues. The paint is wet sanded and polished to a smooth glossy finish. Look at all the chrome up front, the entire nose is new chrome. All the stainless is polished like chrome- the wide side moldings and all the trim around the windows. The glass is tinted, windshield is new. I like the 1/4 windows, they pop open. In back it has bright chrome, a cool V-8 emblem, the trunk opens with a turn latch and stainless tips on the dual exhausts. The rims are painted, has Firestone white wall tires, hubcaps are mint. Door jambs are, clean, painted nice, weather strips are soft.
INTERIOR: It is restored from carpet to headliner, actually the correct carpet and headliner were just installed. The upholstery is redone correctly on the seats and side panels. New windlace. The dash area is beautiful- chrome, knobs and gauges are excellent. There is a really cool pop up center armrest in the middle of the back seat. It folds flat if you need to get that extra person in back.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: One of the best restored and detailed engine compartments I've seen. It is spotless. All of the finishes are pristine. Every component is new looking. The motor is the Bearcat V-8 with 4 barrel carb. It is so clean it doesn't look like it's been ran! The blue paint is clean, valve covers and rare original air cleaner are sprayed glossy. Has Bearcat decals. It even still has the metal bracket that holds the plug wires in place. That stuff typically disappears over time. All new wiring and it is very neatly wrapped. Correct hose clamps, the rubber grommets are new, linkage is detailed, has optional oil filter and electric wipers. Really, this motor compartment is detailed and proper.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Completely repainted with spotlessly clean original metal. The spare rim is restored, the white wall matches the others on the car. The jack is restored and properly mounted. The plaid mat and tire cover, weatherstrips were replaced.
UNDERSIDE: There is no rust under this car. All the original metal is smooth and clean. Not pitted or flaky. It has all been cleaned and painted very nicely. The front end appears to be redone. Shocks, springs, brakes, brake lines were replaced. Bottom of the motor is spotless. Has dual exhaust with correct stainless tips.
From a serious collector that loves quality and originality. Coming from him you can feel comfortable that there are no surprises. He has collected for decades and is very knowledgeable in buying a good car, then he makes them even better. This is a great car on all levels. Quality is impressive, functions as good as it looks. Ready for award winning shows!

About Volo Auto Museum No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum. Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960. We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos. For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion. Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB. Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful. We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after. Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift. No reasonable request will be turned down. Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you. We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s. Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner. This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own. We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you. So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
