1956 DeSoto Firedome
4-door sedan

Pictured is a 1956 desoto firedome sedan.
I have owned this vehicle for 11 years and due to lack of time must reluctantly let it go.
First the good:
~ new fuel pump with Hot hemi heads adapter
~New thermostat
~new shocks at all 4 corners
~all 6 wheel cylinders replaced
~new brake shoes
~new brake lines
~re manufactured master cylinder
~new brake hardware
~new front king pins
~new differential pinion seal & rear universal joint
~new exhaust
~ newer tires, rear tires are starting to dry crack
~new coolant hoses
~newer wiper blades
~ re-plated headlight rings and hood ornament
~ replacement tail light assemblies
The Bad:
~ will need a water pump
~ some rust at rear dog leg sections
left lower quarter panel ( replacement panel included)
~ rear tires are dry cracked due to age
~radio inoperative
~ drivers door panel is off as well as inner door pulls ( all included)
Vehicle is a solid vehicle to turn into a rat rod or restore.

| “vehicle has had work performed through the years including: New king pins, New shocks front & back, Differential pinion seal, rear universal joint, all wheel cylinders, brake hardware, shoes and master cylinder, new brake lines, new fuel pump with adapter from hot hemi heads, new thermostat, newer exhaust, new voltage regulator, spark plugs and points/condensor. tail lamps assemblies have been replaced and are not cracked or crazed. front headlamp rings and hood ornament have been replated in triple chrome. vehicle will need a new water pump. it isn't leaking but the bearing has play. runs well, starts and stops. included with the car is a brand new deluxe carpet kit in red purchased from Kanter. interior seats are in black vinyl and have been recovered years ago. interior trim will need work as well.sill plates and pillar trim included. floor has been welded and has no holes at this time. body has some rust.” |
