The International S series is a range of trucks that was manufactured by International Harvester. Introduced to consolidate the medium-duty IHC Loadstar and heavy-duty IHC Fleetstar into a single product range, the S series was slotted below the Transtar and Paystar Class... 8 conventionals.
The IHC S series was produced in several variants for a wide variety of applications, including straight trucks, semi tractors, vocational trucks, and severe-service trucks. Additionally, the S series was produced in other body configurations, including a four-door crew cab, cutaway cab, cowled chassis, and a stripped chassis (primarily for school buses). The chassis was produced with both gasoline and diesel powertrains (the latter exclusively after 1986), single or tandem rear axles, and two, four, or, six-wheel drive layouts. The last complete product line designed within the existence of International Harvester, the S series was produced in its original form through 1989. To reflect the change to Navistar, a major facelift updated the exterior and interior of many models, which were produced through 2001. As a replacement for the S series, Navistar introduced the 4000 series and 7000 series.
This truck is getting more and more rare as time goes on. Even harder to find it one with only 52k actual miles on its numbers matching drivetrain that still runs strong like this ’56 does. The inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine is producing 236 HP from the factory and is paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. The interior has seen some attention on its bench seat that is wrapped in two tone tan and black vinyl. - $1000 deposit needed within 24 hours of offer being accepted.
- A deposit is a commitment to purchase and is non-refundable which is applied to the purchase amount.
- Payment methods: ACH, wire transfer, cashier's check, credit card(3% fee), personal check(10 business days to clear), and of course- cash. PayPal not accepted.
- Signed purchase contracts, cleared payment in full, and a copy of your driver's license will be needed before the vehicle is released.
- Our hours are 9-5pm EST Monday through Saturday.
- An offer is a commitment to purchase and is not contingent upon inspection, financing, or any other terms.
Fees and Taxes
A $297.63 document fee will be added to the sales price. All purchases may be subject to any applicable tax, title, and licensing fees. Taxes are subject to location of vehicle and buyer's place of residency. Buyer is responsible for taxes paid. All credit cards are charged a 3% fee.
