For Sale is my 1957 4 door hard top. This car was purchased new in 1957 from the local Chevrolet Dealer(Albrecht Chevrolet, Wood River, IL), from the dealership parts manager. The vehicle has been locally owned until I purchased the vehicle in 1981. The car has been garaged in climate control facilities since my purchase and driven only occassionally. The car now has 23, 340 actual miles. In 2006 the car was repainted the original color, which is Matador Red, with an Ivory top, and new factory style interior installed. The car has excellent trim work and bright work, all glass is in extremely nice condition. There is no rust or body damage on the vehicle. The car retains its original 283 V8 engine, and power glide transmission which are in excellent condition.
Seller does have additional history for the car. Welcomes anyone to come and look at the car, and decide for themselves if they are truly wanting a nice original '57 chevy.
We reserve the right to end this auction at any time as the car is for sale locally.
$1000 required as down payment within 48 hours. Will hold for 30 days after down payment. Remaining balance due within 14 days, and will store the car until full payment is made. It is the buyer's responsibility to pick up the vehicle, but the seller will work with the purchasers carrier.
Payment will be taken in form of cash, or cashier's check clearable at the local bank before the car is released.
