Description:

About this vehicle This 1957 Ford Thunderbird is an original. This is offered for sale by the original owner. The vehicle runs great. Vehicle Details Once again this 1957 Ford Thunderbird is being offer. This particular Thunderbird is a rare one owner. It was purchased new by my mother from Warren Anderson Ford in Riverside CA, in 1958. This car was mom’s pride and joy and driven daily until 1984, (registration remained valid through 1987). After sitting in her garage for a little over 20 years, the car was taken to Prestige Thunderbird in SoCal for a complete mechanical restoration. This included engine, transmission, fuel delivery system, brakes and wiring. This car is in excellent mechanical condition and recently returned from a trouble free 1500 mile round trip from Southern Oregon to Southern California. This car has both tops, the hardtop is original and came with the car when purchased (please note, this is the rare non porthole top. The porthole was standard equipment in ‘55 and ’56 and was an option in ‘57). The canvas top is new and was purchased from Prestige a few years ago.
The car does NOT HAVE, power windows, power seats, power brakes, power steering or air conditioning.
Recently, since last listing, a Bluetooth AM/FM radio and 2 in 1 9” speaker was installed.
Upgrades include aluminum radiator with auxiliary fan. Additionally the generator has been replaced with alternator conversion. Clock has been converted to quartz movement. Cigar lighter works. Clock and tach have been reconditioned. Fuel and temperature gauges function perfectly however face on each is a little dull. Likewise the speedometer needs a facelift and although it works, it does bounce and reads about 10mph high at speeds greater than 50mph. If car does not sell I’ll have the fuel, temperature gauges as well as the speedometer addressed cosmetically (and in the case of the speedometer, repaired). In the case of reposting, the reserve at the time will reflect these additional repair costs.
