1957 Mercury Monterey
I will be listing a few cars here in the next week or two for my family. We are reducing are number of cars, so please see my other listings as well. I am not a dealer.
This is a very nice original car that has been well cared for by the previous owners. Only 34, 292 documented miles. We had plans to drive and show this car on a regular basis, but sometimes life has other plans, and we have decided to sell it to someone who we hope will give it a good home.

The engine idles well, runs quiet, makes good power, and starts well every time. The transmission shifts very smoothly through all the gears (and all of the buttons work - including Park). Steers and stops very easy. Drives straight down the road with no unusual vibrations, pulling, noises, etc. All of the original gauges work. The radio, clock, and horn also work! The air conditioning was added and does work well (cold). Other updates include an electric windshield wiper motor, alternator, electric fuel pump, and seat belts. The car also has recent brakes and a new tail pipe. The car is an absolute pleasure to own and drive.
This Mercury is just a pretty car everywhere you look (exterior, interior, engine compartment, trunk, etc). Nice body and under-carriage too. Doors open and shut with a THUD. Windows roll up and down easily. The ORIGINAL upholstery is in good condition considering the age. This Mercury would look great at all your shows and cruise-ins. You would be hard pressed to find ANY classic car like this for this kind of price, much less a '57 Mercury Hardtop. Get this one before someone else does!
Considering the original condition, the mileage, and updates that have been done to the car, it should appraise around $22, 000 for insurance purposes. The reserve on this auction is below that amount. A Buy it now price may be added later.
