You have located a well-cared for Metropolitan that shows very well and maintains a great level of originality.
The car has 40, 037 actual miles.
The car is powered by its original 4-cylinder engine that is paired to its original 3-speed manual “long” transmission. The engine starts with ease and runs great.
The exterior of the car shows well and it boasts its original colors of Mardi Gras Red and Frost White. The car has been repainted once since new.
The exterior features numerous new trim pieces including chrome front and rear bumpers, headlight surrounds, taillight surrounds, body side trim, and side mirrors.
The clean interior of the car features black and white vinyl as well as black and white cloth. The floor is covered by plush carpet.
The car rolls smoothly on the factory wheels that are painted red and are adorned with the original chrome caps. The wheels are wrapped in Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewalls that were purchased from Coker Tire. The tires have an abundance of tread life remaining.
The interior of the car features numerous pieces of original equipment. Nearly every aspect of the car that is operated from the driver’s seat is fully functional. This includes the headlights, the steering wheel-mounted turn signal, the running lights, and the windshield wipers.
The original AM radio remains present but I have only been able to operate it to produce static.
The original cigarette lighter is present.
The lockable trunk of the car is accessed through the rear seat.
The lockable glove compartment is home to an owner’s manual.
The car runs, rides, and drives great. It is mechanically sound and a consistent provider of worry-free enjoyment. As you likely know, Metropolitans are becoming increasingly harder to find, especially in this condition.
The previous owner owned the car for 22 years. The car is now being offered for sale by me as I continue to eliminate cars from my collection.
The car carries a clean and clear title that is ready for transfer.

The car is located in Henderson, Kentucky, ZIP code: 42420. Henderson, Kentucky is conveniently located approximately 2 hours north of Nashville, Tennessee, 3 hours south of Indianapolis, Indiana, 3 hours east of St. Louis, Missouri, and 2 hours west of Louisville, Kentucky.
The car nor the title will leave my possession until the full purchase price amount has been received in a certified payment form. I prefer cash or a wire-transfer but I will accept a cashier's check if you do not have access to the previous payment forms. A cashier's check is subject to a 7-day clearance period (my bank's policy, not mine). If you choose to ship the car, I will accommodate any shipping arrangements that you may make, but the purchaser will remain financially responsible for the entire shipping process.
