I am selling my 1958 Mercury Monterey. It has a 383 Big Block engine with a 3 speed standard transmission on the column. This is a really rare and fast combination! When I got it, I had a new dual exhaust installed and a new master cylinder and new brakes all around. All of the trim is included and needs to be installed. The pictures in the ad were taken about 5 years ago. Since then, the car has sat under a tarp and has developed a few minor, quarter sized, spots of rust on the bottom of the passenger side door. I have not tried to start it recently but it did run good out of a can 5 years ago. The seats will need to be redone but the rest of the interior and the dashboard are in nice shape. The body is in great shape for the age but it does have a small dent in the hood. Unfortunately, the front passenger side wheel has locked up from sitting so it will have to be towed. Please get in touch with me if there are any questions about the condition of the car that I haven't covered. I have never registered the car. I have a New Hampshire transferable registration and a bill of sale from the previous owner. I have applied for a NYS Transferable registration but have not received it yet, however, I can sell the car now with a bill of sale and send the new owner the New York paperwork later. New York didn't have titles for any car older than 1973 and New Hampshire didn't either. Overall, it is in need of a restoration but it would be a great and fun project!
