About this vehicle This 1959 Austin-Healey Sprite is a restomod with updates to the exterior, interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller's Notes 1959 Austin Healey 'Bugeye' for sale. This bugeye suffered some front fender damage that has been repaired. Common rust areas and weak points have been cut out and replaced. New metal floors welded in for both driver & passager sides. Hood has been converted to a front tilt. Front brakes are now new disc brakes including rotors, pads, metal & soft lines. Rear brakes are new drum pads and metal & soft lines. New master cylinder. Engine is a rebuilt 1100cc high compression motor. Replaced clutch plate and throwout bearing. New leather seats, carpet, wiring harness, & lights front and rear. Repainted two stage red paint this year. Painted wheels with new tires. Car is for sale locally. Auction may end early. Car was driven only good weather days.
