Description:

I have a title. And in some cases for overseas buyers - I can help with setting up shipping and getting the car shipped to a port in Baltimore or NY. If you are in the US and need help with shipping - I might be able to connect you with a shipper as well - depends on where you are.
Please see all details in the description. The 59 Fleetwood is an extra cool model because of all the additional trim and side panels that it has.I bought this car in May of 2014 from an older guy in my area. At that time it had been stored indoors for decades in his garage. I believe that he bought the car from the original owner. The body work was done in the 90's and the car was never put back together. In June of 2014 - I took it to an auto restoration place and had the brakes completely redone with new stainless lines new shoes and new wheel cylinders. I also had a new fuel tank and lines installed.Since then, I have had it stored in my garage and have not done any additional work on it.
It will start - but this usually requires starting fluid sprayed in the carb and some tinkering.Once it does start the engine sounds good and does not smoke. It currently has glass pack style resonators on it and the oversize quad rear exhaust pipes. That is why the back bumper is off... it would not fit with those exhaust pipes and the previous owner had plans to cut and modify the bumper. (which did not happen)I have not driven it on the road other than around the driveway. (and that was back in 2014). It did seem to have a vacuum leak or timing issue or something that was causing it to stall at times - like when I came to the incline section of the driveway and have to really give it some gas.
All of the trim seems to be present except for one side spear stainless trim strip. Please see the pics where I have pieces laid out. I do have the headlight assemblies and the cast trim pieces that go on the tops of the fenders - but they are not shown in the pics.
The car is incredibly solid. it is vintage and un-restored so there are of course issues and lots of trim to be assembled. Power seats and power windows work (a little sluggish and need grease and cleaning) - I could not test the one driver's side rear window because the door panel is disassembled currently. The foam in the seats is hard and dry rotted in many places. The bottoms of the rear bumper pods do have some rot.Trunk and floors are not perfect - but EXTREMELY solid - especially for an un-restored vehicle of this age.The leading edge of the trunk and deck lid (where the 59's always rust out) have some rust and pitting but they way better than most that you will find.In addition to the chrome rims that are on the car currently - I have all 4 original rims and the spare as well.Drivers side rear end area has a very old weld repair and some straightening of the body panel that appears to have been fixed long ago. 2 rear quarter glass windows are out - but I have those and they are included. The rear fin tail light pod spears that mount on each side of the fins have some rust - see pic - someone started some resto work on them decades ago.The chrome overall is decent for a driver - but does have wear - patina and some pitting in places. The fenders do not have all of the bolts and spacers and shims installed - but those are all included. The hood also needs the stand off bumpers installed so that it sits properly in the front with the fender line.
I think that someone looking to own a 59 caddy and willing to finish this girl up will be very pleased with this car. It is difficult to find an unrestored 59 in this condition with so little rust.
