Triumph TR3A 1959
Body seems to be close to perfect...went over the edges with a kitchen magnet, found no plastic filler, rust, damage, or signs of old repair. Floors are dirty but intact, no holes, no rust, and even inner sills and body mounts are very good.
Interior seems to be near new and is in very good condition. Dash is excellent, all original gauges and switches and everything works.
Engine runs very well and I tested the compression, 150-155 psi in every cylinder...as good as new. Same with oil pressure, 70+ psi oil pressure when warm and no smoke from the exhaust, cold or hot. Transmission and clutch work properly, steering is far above average and the brakes work well.
Odometer shows 50, 000 miles and I suppose that could reflect the actual mileage.
Wiring harness looks like it was never worn out or but into, everything in the engine bay looks nice and tidy.
Paint is in a pale primrose and the paint quality is very good. Most of the chrome appears to be new and anything else is very good. Overall, the car has an excellent appealing other than the need for some cleaning/painting/detailing in the engine bay. Which, at that point, would make this car ready for a casual car show.
