Price: US $5,655.00
Selling
my 1959 TR3A Racer.
As they
say, long hood, unique curves, and those lovely little doors. The TR3 is a
stylish roadster that provides an authentic vintage British motoring
experience.
Car
built and raced in Calgary Canada from the early 90 to
2001. Used as street legal since.
I have it since 2013. I drive it on the weekends and to the local TTR meets plus
some recreational track days.
Car
sounds like a bear, pulls strong and corners like it's on rails. The most
fun I had in any car, on and off the track.
Wins in
almost any car show she appears in. Some trophies and matching racing
helmet goes with the car.
Car
comes with un-restored side screens, and spare parts.
The TR3 had
an older complete nut and bolt, frame off restoration to an award-winning
condition that still holds beautifully to this day.
Frame: When
the body was off, gussets were welded into the frame to strengthen it. Less twisting and flexing.
Suspension:
Largest leaf spring was removed and de-cambered the rest to lower the rear.
The
front aluminum spacers above the coil springs were left out to lower the front.
Upgraded
front sway bar.
Brakes: Stopping
this car was never an issue. A future upgrade will be to fit it with a
Wilwood master cylinder.
Transmission
and Clutch: Upgraded
to a full synchro out of a 1975 TR-6. Never had a problem.
Wheels: Fitted
with American Racing repro’s.
Engine: Absolutely
every moving part on this engine was weighed and balanced.
The
head was shaved, ported, and flowed.
The
header was also flowed to match the head.
87mm
pistons = 2187cc
Buyer
will get additional specs, cam info, …
Radiator was
rebuilt with larger tubes to increase the flow.
Hood
louvers where added to further cooling the engine.
Rollbar:
As you can see, Cross bar and door bars where removed. Have them somewhere, will try to find them.
Doors:
Doors are pinned at the bottom. Handles work.
driver’s
side Brooklands screen
Additional
things were later added to the car to make it street legal.
Signals, Air horn, lights etc…
Also
added an alternator.
Battery
moved from trunk to the front.
All of
these should be removed if the future owner want to seriously race the car.
Car sold
as-is with no warranty whatsoever
