This Austin Healey has had a complete restoration . All of the following information was provided by the person who restored the car. The odometer shows 10, 565 and I assume it was replaced upon restoration. I believe the car has had 2 owners since restoration. The car is a fantastic driver. Very peppy. This California Bugeye was a 10 year restoration on a rust free body with original floor pans. No patched panels and no evidence of major accident. Underwent a high grade strip and paint with the car disassembled and the drivetrain removed. All body panels are strainght with no waves and the paint is excellent. The original 948cc engine was replaced with a fully rebuilt and high tuned 1275cc engine.. It has has a stronger ribbed case trans. Car has a new convertiable top with Tenax fasteners. Also has Dynamat installed on the floors, transmission tunnel and trunk area. Has a new dual circuit brake master cylinder, new filter, all fluids changed and a rebuilt distributor. New pedal pads, battery cut off swith, new spare tire and tool bag. Also has new interior door panels covered in vinyl to match dash. The car drives great. Trans shifts smoothly. The gages are all either new or rebuilt and look and function like new. This is a well sorted car that is very solid. A restoration of this quality will cost considerably more than the reserve on this car.
