This is a 1963 Studebaker Grand Turismo Hawk. It came out of California last year . Its a real drivers , driver. An adult owned, driven & maintained classic piece of Americana. A weekend cruiser that is as happy on the interstate as it is on the old country back roads I drive it on. Complete with all the creature comforts you need today. Air Cond, power steering, power brakes, V8 , automatic transmission , padded dash & duel exhaust. The last owned added a continental kit, cruise control & back up lights . I've never used the cruise control & the radio doesn't work ( looks original but I've never had it checked ) but everything else works great. This car is far to nice & clean to call it a survivor. So I'll say its been restored , looks like 4 to 6 years ago ? The paint can't be more than a few years old . Its not perfect, there is a ding or a flake in 1 or 2 places but when polished & detailed it looks like new . Looks like a single stage paint job , but a good one. I would say its a 7 or 8 out of 10. The glass looks original as does the stainless trim & chrome .( There are 1 or 2 parts like the mirror that are showing some age.) But all in all I would say both are a good 8 or 9 out of 10 . Inside the car is very clean you'll have to look hard to find any wear. A good 8 or 9. The continental kit is not a fake or cheep reproduction its a real quality working replacement , it stores the spare and there is eazy excess to the trunk. And yes it is bolt on and can be remove . Tires are good. It starts , runs , shifts & stops like it should , I would trust it on a long drive . This car gets attention everywhere I drive it . Shows very well and is always a crowd favorite. One of those great American cars we are known for , like 1955, 6, 7 Chevy, 1959 Cadillac & it fins , the 1963 split window Corvette . But you can still own this one on a working mans budget. Cleaned & detail its ready to show anywhere. I will look at all offers and may take a part trade on a Classic Truck, Tbird, Packard or Cadillac. What do you have ? Thanks for looking. Just email me with questions .
