I'm not sure if much needs to be said about how special this factory original Super Red is. My father purchased this vehicle in 2010, did a little work on it and parked it in his garage. His battle with cancer overtook him this past summer. And he hadn't felt up to working on any of his projects in a several years. He had to walk away from this special car just after he got started on it.
The car is not currently running, but it HAS ALL PARTS, many of them are new or rebuilt already. I remember my dad telling me that the rear wheel cylinders cost him 100 dollars each. We have gathered up all of its parts, old and new, along with lots of extra Hawk parts that my father had collected over the years. As another example, he had already purchased new break lines and hoses for it.
This is a project car, a solid one, ready for off frame restoration and definitely worthy of being done so. Not sure why I need to try to SELL anyone on this idea, if you are familiar with the rarity and value of Super Hawks, such as this one, there isn't much use going on about it.
As far as Hawks go, it has rust in its usual places. Dad did swap out the trunk lid because he had found one with little rust on it. Personally, I'm impressed with how good of shape the interior is in on this car, as the pictures show.
We have nothing to hide as far as the condition of this car, so we look forward to your questions.
