Offered is a restored 1964 Rambler American 440 red convertible. 1964 marked the beginning of the third generation for Rambler. This year was a major redesign for them They extended the wheel base and increased the interior space. 3 speed manual transmission with floor shift. 195 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder. Vehicle has 35436 original miles. Box A is checked on Arizona title showing they are original miles. Car came from Washington state and was owned by an elderly lady. Purchased by an Arizona car club for a raffle. Totally restored and is a very, very nice vehicle. Runs great down highway, starts first time every time. Undercarriage has been blasted and undercoated, engine compartment restored. Car does have a new alternator. Original generator will be included with sale. Car is 3 speed with overdrive. Overdrive was jumping out of gear, so I removed it and it is now being run without. The overdrive unit will be included with sale. Also have high speed rearend that will be included. I have been running it as is. Top speed is around 60 - 65 mph. You can either rebuild overdrive unit (included) or install high speed rearend (included) for higher highway speeds. White power convertible top, red and white interior. Everything works great including original radio, lights, guages, heater. Tires near new. Original AMC wire hubcaps.
