This is an early Mark II - not a bugeye but has sidecurtain windows and no door handles.It is quite rare, only made for a year and a half or so.I got it in 1976 and have kept it ever since.I put about 64000 miles on it over 41 years. I'm losing the space to keep it in the garage, so I'm selling it. Body condition is very good. Interior upholstery is in bad condition.It has lived in garages since 1980.After a few weeks without running, I use starting fluid to get it going. Runs well once it warms up, which is normal.Comes with an aftermarket hardtop and a seldom-used soft top in good condition.Comes with original short block; running on a new factory one I got in 1978. About 53000 miles on the new block.Roll bar and seat belts are installed
Comes with these accessories:- aftermarket hardtop - I hold this on with four springs- soft top - not used much- sidecurtain windows - usable; plexi is original, rubber is in bad condition; I have new rubber seal material- original short block that ran well but had fairly low oil pressure - 10psi at idle- new seat covering kit, not installed- new glass-pack muffler, not installed- new rear leaf springs, not installed- 2 studded snow tires on wheels- cable chains- three boxes of miscellaneous parts, new and old
- Something about the steering rack doesn't feel good at the limits; I try not to turn the steering wheel hard to either stop- The parking brake does not work well; rear brakes need adjustment- I have a new horn push but it has defied my efforts to secure it on the steering wheel
