I purchased this Impala SS Sept. 2013 in California where it had spent its entire life until I transferred the vehicle to Tennessee. It had the original California Black Plates on it since the car was delivered in Nov. 1963. Car was built at California Southgate GM plant (code U in vin). I stripped the body of all trim and prepared for a complete refinish in Glasurit 55 line BC/CC of the original color of Ermine white. Lot of time spent on detail items see door jams, trunk, hood compartment edges in pictures.. Interior included front bucket seats re-upholstered in new original material from SMS Interior, headliner, carpet and floor insulation, glove compartment box, package shelf, steering wheel restored. All door panels, kick panels, rear seat etc. are original.
New components include:
Original Rochester 4BBL carburetor rebuilt, engine harness, battery and cables, ignition switch, neutral safety switch, turn signal switch, heater blower motor, heater core, wiper motor, hoses, belts, anti-freeze thermostat, hoses, wiper motor, all new weathersrtipping throughout, hood insulation and trunk mats. Also installed new Power Steering control valve, new radial tires in correct whitewall width.
Other components I haven't mentioned were done earlier by previous owner such as exhaust, shocks, starter, fuel pump, alternator, HEI distributor, radiator recore, fuel tank and sender unit etc. Possibly some engine work I'm not sure as heads had fresh paint when I purchased and it appeared it was recently done.
Car is equipped with a 327 250HP, Power steering, Power windows, padded dash, tinted windows, rear seat speaker, factory front seat belts. I installed rear seat belts. Owners manual included. Still has the original spare tire in trunk. Everything works except radio (hums with static) and clock. Heater, Power Windows, wipers, all lights including turn signals function properly. This has been my driver while I am restoring a 62 Impala Convertible which is nearing completion and will become my new driver. I have driven this car close to a 1000 miles in the 3 + years I have owned with never an issue. Car is very dependable and never has let me down. Runs cool all the time on the hottest day and even when stuck in traffic during a car show. I have owned several Impalas in my lifetime and this is truly one of the nicest driving vehicles I have owned. Color combination of Ermine White and Fawn Beige interior is quite attractive and I always get so many compliments on the paint. Most of the trim and bumpers is original as I replaced very few mouldings. Undercarriage is extremely clean with no rust issues. Tennessee title in my name.
$500.00 non-refundable deposit thru PayPal within 24 hrs. Balance is due within 3 days via cash in person or wire transfer only. Shipping is the responsibility of the successful bidder. I am always available and can assist the transporter with loading of the vehicle.
I have the vehicle listed locally and reserve the right to remove from E Bay if sold.
