1964 Lincoln Continental 4-Door Hardtop Sedan - Original
Original factory car with no alterations and a no reserve price auction here. Vehicle driven for several years then just parked. Includes all original dash instruments and interior features, leather seating with electric adjust, power windows and 'headlamp dimmer' option with original glass tube unit intact. Unusual temperature adjust 'dial' for air conditioning found on lower dash near ignition key cylinder. Original black CA license plates and clear title papers.
At first was stored inside but later left outside for the last few years. Usual condition for a CA vehicle left in the rain. Rust has weakened the hood center (6) and intermitently in truck deck lid. However, trunk lid can be salvaged.
Walls and side of trunk are solid but due to deteriorated original trunk gasket water accumulated on trunk bottom, center floorboard panel which caused it to rust out. One has only to weld in a solid, square sheet metal panel on the very bottom of trunk to resolve this issue.
Body is sound with only one dent on the passenger side front fender. All glass intact, door panels, badges and the like are included although not all shown in pictures. Most all interior and exterior chrome does not need replating but only a good polishing. Missing trunk keyed cylinder and wheel jack.
Engine started a few years back and is complete. Carter 4-barrell carburetor now frozen but can provide another Carter 4-barrell for rebuild. However, I'm told the newer Englebrook carbs work better than these old Carters and are more reliable. Having trouble now finding parts for the older carbs.
Seller can mount 'roller' tires on for Buyer for move. Car currently in storage yard near Disneyland in Anaheim, CA.
Car worth more in parts than even the starting Auction price. It would be nice though if someone would take the time to make lthis Lincoln roadworthy again!
